Prayer

Philippians 4:4-6
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
I woke up to a lightening storm this morning, it was still dark...but the light from the lightening came in the windows and lit the room. God is the Creator - He is in control - I think one thing this scripture is telling me to do is to give thanks...through prayer. When we pray thanksgiving to God instead of a list of requests it puts our faith in God, knowing He will take care of it. He is near...and that in itself is a comfort.
I am thankful for:
answered prayers
my families health
the ability to pray to God
Jesus blood that cleanses me from my sin
the morning, a new start to a new day
the strength God will give me to survive VBS this week!
the job that God has planned just for Greg.
Brennon's eye surgery was successful
Cortneys heart so full of love and compassion - taking care of her brother
Greg Mc - he is an answered prayer, I am so thankful Cortney found her soul mate
Treg growing up in the Lord and his sense of humor
friends - young and old that keep me on the right path
the rain
our house
my faith that God will take care of us in all situations
me eyes to see and read my Bible
Greg...he loves me in spite of all my faults.
my job and the chance be a light to the world.
babies
restful sleep
laughter and the feeling it gives me
the wisdom that comes from the aged
my church family
music - that speaks to my heart
power of prayer.....
Rejoice - always.....I had written in my Bible this quote: If you are gonna pray, why worry. If you are gonna worry, why pray. I am not sure who said this but it is so true. Do not be anxious....
have a great day, pl

I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
