The fullness of God

This past Wednesday night Bo, our preacher ask us to start reading Ephesian 3:14-21. He wants us to read it 4 times a day. When we first get up in morning, before we enter work, before we come home from work, and at night. The fullness of God....what comes to your mind when you hear the word fullness -
for me I thought how can I be full of God when I am full of self?

I love how this passage starts with the Father (God), then the Spirit, then Christ. The three working as One. I also love how we are strengthened with power through his Spirit in my inner being. By faith, Christ will dwell in our hearts. Bo used the illustration of being plucked from the world and being rooted in Christ. vs.17 being rooted and established in love... isn't that great. Plant me in God, so that I may "bloom" for Him.
In vs. 19... to know this love that surpasses knowledge -- on this part, I think it goes back to trust - to know this love - that is so big we have to try to "grasp" how wide... how long...how high.. how deep... is the love of Christ. A love that surpasses knowledge. The world seems to think very highly of knowledge and facts. I have to trust in God that I "do not" have all the answers, I do not know why, where, or how, but I Trust in God, because He knows all.
then here comes the part of being filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ever wonder what it would be like to be filled to the measure of all....not some...but all the fullness of God. Bo said we need to pray like we believe it can happen. vs. 20 God is able to do immeasurably (can't be measured) more than we ask or imagine... I have a pretty vivid imagination, but God's is bigger! all this is according to His power that is work within us. We have to ask...we have to have His power at work within us.
I love this last part. One night last week I had Treg come in and read this scripture to me while I was making some cards. Something about hearing him read scripture, just gets to me. When he finished, he paused and then said, hey that's a song. We have a CD, Word of God, that has the song Now to Him, and it starts with this vs. 20. I was so excited - my new motto is trash in trash out, good in good out. So by him listening to Christian music he is able to relate easier to God's Word.
I do not know what today will bring, but I do know that my prayer is to be filled to the fullest of God. Our study this week has been on peace, how perfectly God weaves it all together...Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen to that!

I studied this very scripture this past spring "to be filled with God" when you look it up in the greek the word filled means to fill to the brim..you can go look at it on Lifeway.com, click online bible, then click the KJV with concordance...click on the word filled and check it out. I just love fresh revelation don't you?

Why Christ is my Passion

The more I seek Christ in my walk, the more I find Him -
Psalm 18:1-2
I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
thank u Jesus
