Waiting on the LORD

Last night our Bible Study was on Joy... joy cometh.... welling up from inside, only given by God. The best part is best described by this picture, we have a future with Christ....forever in His Kingdom and we will be with Him forever. When I look at this picture, all the uncertain future problems vanish. If we fix our eyes on Jesus, we will have joy & peace...if we trust in Him. Our hope comes from the Lord....
I tell ya the scripture Romans 15:13 has come before me over and over - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The part I think God is trying so hard to drill into my head is to "trust in Him" - this waiting is so hard. I know we are to lay everything at the feet of Jesus, but I have to admit I am a very impatient person and I would love to see how this job thing is going to turn out. I listen to the John Waller song, "While I'm Waiting" a lot these days. Waiting on the Lord, not on a phone call, or man. some lyrics from song... just taking every step in obedience, while I'm waiting I will serve You, while I'm waiting I will worship you, while I'm waiting I will not grow faint. (it's a great song) This week in our study we are on peace... it is also something we cannot get on our own, can't buy it, can't earn it... Phil. 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. It is a peace from God. I pray for peace in my mind and my heart.....I pray to just trust God, let Him have it.....I pray to fix my eyes on Jesus, for others to see my hope....and to not only see the joy that cometh, but to feel it in the crisis. A sweet friend gave me a devotional that said we are the sheep, and sheep are not "burden bearing" creatures, so give it to God. amen
Next morning after post: my little devo for the day started with this quote: We can expend so much energy whining about our situation that we have nothing left to invest in the real fight.
Wow - I ask forgiveness for any whining I have done! - Look up Ps. 21:6 isn't it so cool that it says, "Surely, Lord, You have granted me eternal blessings and made me glad with the joy of Your presence." to think about .....eternal blessings (to be in His heavenly kingdom).....and to have joy of God's presence.
I am in awe of God and His sweet way He can always bring me back to Him. luv ya, pl

Why Christ is my Passion

The more I seek Christ in my walk, the more I find Him -
Psalm 18:1-2
I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
thank u Jesus
