At the lake I got up early to watch the sunrise and have some quiet time. After watching this beautiful display of colors and the day coming to life, I was in awe of God and His majesty. It amazes me how we tend to get so caught up in this world, that we forget to take time to stop and really "Be still with God". I opened my Bible and it was on Psalm 27 - so I read it. Wow - God is so good. Here are just a few things that spoke to my heart -The LORD is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid?
vs. 5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling.
vs. 11 Teach me your way, O LORD: lead me in a straight path
vs. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
Waiting can be tough - I love the Max Lacado book on the 23rd Psalms, Traveling Light - He brought some great views to this Psalm. in vs. 4 when it says to fear no evil, for you are with me. The book said it's not an angel that is with me, it is saying God is with me, and He knows the way. I pray I will hold on to this truth and walk in faith.
