these are the sweet little fingers of my only girl in the class today, Kara. Look how precious her little fingers are, she was so careful and did such a good job. I brought a scarf and let the kids pick a button out of my button box and they got to "sew" the button on the scarf.
Wes did a great job too! I told the boys that when they go to college and their button pops off, they will know how to sew it back on. They all did so good.
Here is a shot of the scarf layed out, 4 boys and 1 girl - I would have taken more pics but the thought of leaving this class with a needle, thread and scissors made me a little nervous!
I knew that we would give the scarf to someone I just wasn't sure who - after we finished the scarf I just said a prayer for God to place who needed a blessing in my mind and the first person I saw was Mrs. Bobbie - she was so thrilled. We told her the story and how the kids wanted to be like Tabitha and be a helper for Jesus - The whole class loved getting to pick out their button and sew it on all by themselves! I pray that they will remember the Bible stories but most of all it will be etched on their minds that Jesus loves them and He is so alive and active today! My class is a huge blessing in my life - they may be small, but they are so full of a pure love. God is so good.
